A couple of days ago, I was about to go running when Kapil said he was going to come with me and take me on a hilly cross county route.
Now, I think he'd be the first to admit that he's carrying a little excess weight around the middle so I thought I'd have to slow things down a little. What I hadn't taken into account is that he used to be a trekking guide and has clearly retained some of that fitness. He was pretty quick, especially downhill where he was like an agile mountain goat, skipping between the lumps and bumps.
He told me tonight that he wants to go again tomorrow. I think I'm going to have to up my game a little.
